The last in the series of eight Mid Week Evening silver fish only matches took place on C Section of Dock River on Wednesday 8th August. On a dry, warm, overcast evening with a slight breeze and the river in good colour and in a gentle flow everyone was hoping to catch a bonus fish from their swim. At the end of the match it was Russell Foulger on end peg 6 who won the match. Fishing the pole to the far side reeds using pellets he had 5lbs 1ozs of some good roach, an eel, a skimmer and a bream to win comfortably. In second place was John Pettitt on peg 12 with a weight of 2lbs 10ozs of silver fish closely followed in third place by Graham Hazelton on peg 8 with a 2lbs 9ozs weight of silver fish.
