This was mainly down to a good match team squad of 10no member anglers all contributing towards this very successful result for the Club.
Everyone that fished in these EICL matches all picked up valuable points for the Club, however a special mention needs to be said about one of the squad who had outstanding performances throughout the six match series.
Harwich Angling Club member John Shepard (below), one of the Clubs top match anglers, was very consistent throughout the season never scoring less than 8 points in any of the matches. John had 2 section wins in matches 4 and 6 plus 2 Individual match wins, in match 4 getting awarded 'The Lawford Cup' and in match 6 getting awarded 'The Marconi Cup', all of which helped him to a total of 53 points putting him in a fantastic joint third place position in the Individual KO League.
