The first in a series of six Mid Week Evening club matches took place during the week on the B pegs section (Horses Field) of Dock River. With a good turn out of club members competing on a rainy and chilly evening, with the river looking in great condition thanks to the efforts of our Fisheries Officers and a group of Members putting in lots of hours on many working parties, everyone was looking for the bonus fish in their swims for this silver fish only match. However it turned out to be a low weight match, with it hard to find fish in the swims probably due to the sudden drop in temperature. With only one angler blanking, all the other anglers put fish in their nets. At the weigh-in it was Dave Brown (B33 peg) fishing the pole who came out on top with a winning weight of 2lbs 12ozs of silver fish. In second place was Paul Chambers (B40 peg) with 1lbs 14ozs, following with, in joint third place, were Duncan Wrigley (B28 peg) and Graeme Edgar (B39 peg) both weighing in with 0lb 10.5ozs. Fifth place went to Richard Pudney (B32 peg) with 0lbs 5ozs.
