Harwich Angling Club held the second in a series of six Mid Week Evening club matches during the week before last on C pegs section of Dock River. With another very good turn out of club members competing in this three hour match on a sunny and warm evening, the river still looking in great condition, everyone was looking for a bonus fish in their swims for this silver fish only match.

Fishing the stretch of river from pegs C20 to C36 it proved to be a very close match right up to the final whistle.

With every angler catching fish in their swims, some opted to fish for the bream having seen signs of them around their pegs. At the weigh-in it was the in form Graeme Edgar (C20 peg) fishing the pole close in the margins and under the bush who came out on top with a winning weight of 4lbs 10ozs of silver fish and a bonus bream. Closely following in second place, by just one ounce, was Paul Chambers (C28 peg) with 4lbs 9ozs of around 300 small silver fish with Graham Hazelton (C32 peg) in third place with 2lbs 13ozs of silver fish. In fourth place was Con Keilty (C24 peg) with a bream weighing 2lbs 8.5ozs.
