HAC MID WEEK EVENING (Match 4 of 6)
Harwich Angling Club held the fourth in a series of six Mid Week Evening club matches during the week on C pegs section of Dock River. On a warm and sunny evening with a slight wind and the river looking in good colour and condition, every angler was hoping to find a bonus fish in their swim. Fishing the section of river from C24 to C36 this very popular 3 hour silver fish evening match is still attracting a good turn out from its members.
When the end of match whistle came, it was the end pegs that decided the match results. With nearly every angler putting fish in their nets, apart from those who blanked after choosing from the start to fish for any bonus fish that might be around their swim, it was at the weigh-in end peg angler Graham Hazelton (C36 peg) fishing the pole down the middle and across to the far side reeds with worm and maggot who came out on top with a winning weight of 5lbs 14ozs of silver fish. In second place was the other end peg angler Graeme Edgar (C24 peg) with 4lbs 3ozs of silver fish with Keith Allen (C26 peg) following in third place, for the third match in a row, with 2lbs 8ozs. In fourth place was Duncan Wrigley (C28 peg) with 1lbs 7ozs.
With just two matches left in this series of matches the league position for the Champion of the Mid Week Evening matches is still yet to be decided.
